Education by Shala Books Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at shalabooks.com. We are based in Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada, and are subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What Personal Information We Collect
We only collect personal information in two circumstances:
- PDF book purchases — orders for the PDF edition of Empowering the Educator Within are processed through Gumroad. Gumroad collects your name, email address, and payment information. We receive only your email address and order details for delivery and support purposes. We do not store your payment information.
- Blog comments — when you leave a comment on our blog, you may provide your name and email address. Your name may appear publicly alongside your comment. Your email address is never displayed publicly and is used only to notify you of replies.
We do not collect personal information through any other part of this website. Physical book purchases are fulfilled entirely by Amazon, and we do not receive any personal data from those transactions.

- To display your name alongside your blog comment
- To notify you of replies to your blog comment, where applicable
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Gumroad — PDF purchases are processed by Gumroad Inc. Their privacy practices are governed by the Gumroad Privacy Policy.
Amazon — physical book purchases are handled entirely by Amazon. Their privacy practices are governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
Google Fonts — this website uses Google Fonts for typography. Google may collect limited usage data. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Basic session functionality may use cookies where required for the site to operate normally.
Data Retention
Blog comment data is retained for as long as the comment remains published. If you request removal of your comment and associated personal information, we will action that request promptly.
Order data from Gumroad purchases is retained in accordance with Gumroad's own data retention policies.
